Three Cheese Garlic Bread

This recipe starts with ciabatta bread. Then, it’s all about the creamy and cheesy toppings. It’s a simple side dish or appetizer that really is full of flavor. The bread is best served hot and is delicious on its own or served with a marinara sauce for dipping. Add a basket of the bread to the table with your spaghetti with meat sauce.

Three Cheese Garlic Bread Ingredients

Bread: I used ciabatta bread for this recipe, which you can make ahead of time or buy from the store. A loaf of French bread like a French baguette would also work, but the cooking time may need to be adjusted.

Garlic Butter: The garlic butter is easy to make with melted butter, minced garlic, kosher salt, and parsley.

Cream Cheese Mixture: The spreadable cream cheese mixture is a creamy layer on top of the garlic butter.

Topping: Shredded mozzarella cheese is added on top of the layered bread and baked until hot and melted.

How to Make Three Cheese Garlic Bread

You can never really have enough recipes for cheesy garlic bread, and this is one you will want to add to your collection. It’s easy to make and is packed with flavor. To get started, cut a loaf of ciabatta bread in half, horizontally. Then, cut the halves into 2-inch strips. Lay the bread strips cut side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Set that aside as you make the toppings.

Next, mix together the ingredients for the butter mixture in a small bowl and set it aside. Then, in a separate bowl, make the cream cheese mixture. Beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer until creamy. Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, and parsley. Mix on low until the mixture is smooth. Finally, fold in the parmesan cheese.

Assembling Three Cheese Garlic Bread

With the strips of ciabatta bread on the lined baking sheets and the toppings made, it’s time to assemble the bread and get it baked. First, evenly top each strip with the garlic butter mixture. Second, add a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top of the butter. Third, top with equal amounts of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and hot. Serve hot with or without a side of marinara sauce.
