24linkscocktail-sized sausages
1largeegg,beaten
Garlic Butter (optional but recommended)
2tablespoonsunsalted butter,melted
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonfresh parsley,chopped
⅛teaspoonground black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a cutting board. Using a pizza cutter, cut the rolled-out dough in half lengthwise. Then, cut each rectangle of dough into 12, 2-inch strips. You will need a total of 24 strips of dough.
Place one sausage onto each strip of dough. Tightly roll the sausage link in the dough until it is completely wrapped.
Place the dough-wrapped sausage links onto the baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Use a pastry brush to brush the outside of each with the beaten egg.
Bake for 12-15 minutes*, or until the dough is golden brown. While the wrapped sausage links are baking, mix together the garlic butter.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, and pepper. Brush over the baked pigs in a blanket.
