Ingredients

  • 1 tube (8 ounces) crescent roll dough
  • 24 links cocktail-sized sausages
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Garlic Butter (optional but recommended)

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a cutting board. Using a pizza cutter, cut the rolled-out dough in half lengthwise. Then, cut each rectangle of dough into 12, 2-inch strips. You will need a total of 24 strips of dough.
  • Place one sausage onto each strip of dough. Tightly roll the sausage link in the dough until it is completely wrapped.
  • Place the dough-wrapped sausage links onto the baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  • Use a pastry brush to brush the outside of each with the beaten egg.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes*, or until the dough is golden brown. While the wrapped sausage links are baking, mix together the garlic butter.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, and pepper. Brush over the baked pigs in a blanket.
  • Serve warm with ketchup and mustard for dipping.
