Sloppy Joe Dip is a ground beef mixture that is a thicker, cheesier version of a sloppy joe that is the perfect dip for toasted baguettes or bagel chips.
Preheat oven to broil. (The top oven rack should be about 6 inches from the broiler.)
In a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onions, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking until the beef is no longer pink. (Optional: Drain grease)
Add in beef broth, ketchup, and mustard. Stir until all ingredients are incorporated.
In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Pour into the beef mixture and whisk, cooking until thickened.
Remove the pan from heat and stir in a cup of the cheese until melted.
Top with the remaining cheese.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and broil until the cheese is hot and bubbly (3-5 minutes).
Serve warm with toasted baguettes or bagel chips.
