Place the pork loin in the bowl of a slow cooker. (I used a 6-quart slow cooker.) Add ¼ cup of water to the bottom to prevent sticking.
Cover and cook on Low for 7–8 hours or High for 4–5 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Transfer the pork to a bowl and shred with two forks. Drain any excess liquid from the slow cooker and discard.
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker. Pour in the barbecue sauce and stir to coat.
Cover and cook on Low for 15–30 minutes, or until heated through.
*Can I Use A Different Cut Of Pork?
Yes, you can definitely use a different cut of pork if you don't want to use a pork loin. You can use other cuts like pork shoulder or pork butt. These cuts have more fat, which makes them richer in flavor, so you may want to use a less sweet BBQ sauce.
