Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • teaspoon mustard powder

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a small bowl.
  • Whisk until evenly combined and no clumps remain. This makes about 2 tablespoons of blackened ranch seasoning.

To Make Blackened Ranch Dressing

  • Whisk together 1 tablespoon seasoning, ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup sour cream, and 2 to 4 tablespoons buttermilk, adding the buttermilk gradually until you reach your desired consistency. For a little brightness, you can also add ½ teaspoon lemon juice or white vinegar.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving so the flavors can develop.

Dry Ranch Dip

  • Stir 1 tablespoon seasoning into 1 cup sour cream until smooth and fully combined.
  • Chill briefly before serving if you have time.
