Ingredients

  • 2 medium oranges, peeled, cut into wedges
  • 2 medium lemons, peeled, cut into wedges
  • 100 grams fresh ginger, peeled and cut into small chunks (adjust more or less depending on how strong you like it)
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups coconut water, or substitute with water

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth, 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl, using a spoon to help push the juice through. (For an extra-smooth shot, use a cheesecloth or nut milk bag instead.)
  • Use a funnel to fill small glasses or shot bottles with the juice. Repeat until all juice is poured.
  • Seal the bottles or cover the glasses and place them in the refrigerator to chill before enjoying.
  • Store your ginger shots in airtight bottles or jars in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, but they taste best within 3 to 5 days.
