Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.* Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down. Roast for 10 minutes, then flip and continue roasting for another 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  • While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, chili powder, paprika, chipotle powder, salt, red pepper flakes, honey, and maple syrup.
  • Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and immediately toss them in the sauce while still hot.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

*Air Fryer Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil until evenly coated.
  2. Line the basket of your air fryer with the Brussels sprouts, cut side down (if cut). Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to work in batches.
  3. Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, or until the Brussels sprouts are done to the desired crispness. (If cooking larger Brussels sprouts, they may need extended cooking time.)
  4. While the Brussels sprouts are cooking, make the sauce.
  5. Remove the Brussels sprouts from the air fryer and immediately toss them in the sauce while still hot.
