Ingredients

  • 8 ounces linguine

Chicken

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Garlic Cream Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (238 g) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, grated
  • fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • red pepper flakes, optional for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set the pasta aside.

Chicken

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chicken, paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and nicely browned (about 4-5 minutes). Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate and tent to keep it warm.

Garlic Cream Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 more minute, stirring constantly and scraping up the browned bits in the pan as you go.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally. Cook for 2-3 more minutes, or until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue cooking until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add the cooked chicken and pasta back to the skillet. Gently toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken with the creamy garlic sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and red pepper flakes (optional).
