Ingredients

  • 6 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 6 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 medium jalapenos, thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F* (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place the bacon strips on the lined baking sheet, spacing each about 1 inch apart.
  • Brush or drizzle the tops of each strip of bacon with about 1 tablespoon of hot honey.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Evenly sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the top of the bacon slices.
  • Top each slice of bacon with 3-5 slices of jalapeno.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through the baking time, or until the bacon reaches your desired level of crispiness.
  • Let bacon cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

*Grilling Instructions:
  1. Preheat your grill to 400°F.
  2. Prepare the bacon as instructed.
  3. Place a wire cooling rack on top of the baking sheet. (This is for crispy bacon on the grill.)
  4. Grill bacon for 8-12 minutes, or until it reaches your desired crispiness.

Note: I do not recommend cooking the bacon in an air fryer; when testing, the bacon just flew around.
