Bisquick Pizza Dough is an easy and delicious way to make a homemade pizza crust to top and bake with all of your favorite pizza toppings! Made with just two ingredients and brushed with garlic butter, it is the perfect base that will bake to a crispy, flavorful crust. You may want pizza every night once you see how easy this recipe is! I also have an Easy Pizza Crust that is a yeast dough you may want to try.
Ingredients & Substitutions
Bisquick: I encourage you to use homemade Bisquick in this recipe. It is made with only four ingredients with no unwanted added preservatives you would find in the box mix. Plus, once you make a batch, you can use it for other recipes, too!
Water: Be sure the water is hot when mixing it with the Bisquick™. Then, the mixture needs to rest for about 10 minutes before pressing it into the pizza pan.
Garlic Butter: Melted butter is mixed with garlic salt and parsley; then, it’s brushed over the pizza crust dough before toppings are added. It just adds a little extra flavor to the crust.
Can I Use A Different-Sized Pizza Pan?
This recipe is for a 12-inch thin pizza crust, but you could use a different-sized pan if you want a thicker (or even thinner) crust. If using a different size, watch it carefully when baking as the cooking times may need to be adjusted.
Can I Make Pizza Dough Ahead Of Time?
Sure! If you want to get the dough mixed ahead of time, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will last up to 2-3 days. When ready to make the pizza, let the dough sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before pressing it into the pizza pan.
What Are Some Toppings For Bisquick Pizza Dough?
With how simple this Bisquick pizza dough is to make, it’s fun to try it with a variety of toppings. Here are some delicious options:
- Pizza Sauce (red sauce)
- White Sauce
- Pesto
- Cheese
- Meats like pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, bacon, Canadian bacon, and meatballs
- Vegetables like bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, olives (black or green), artichokes, zucchini, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted red peppers
Mix and match the ingredients to satisfy your taste buds. Then, try other varieties like buffalo chicken over buffalo sauce, or try barbecue chicken and red onion over barbecue sauce. Or, use the crust to make my Pickle Pizza!
Can I Freeze Pizza Dough?
Yes, you can freeze Bisquick pizza dough. To freeze it, wrap the ball of dough tightly in plastic wrap or a freezer-safe bag. It can be frozen for up to 2 months. When ready to use, let the dough thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
