  1. As most of your above remarks I am in the same boat. Spent most of my life working not cooking much at all. Besides that I cannot handle Spicy or Garlic. Can you post recipes and give alternatives to adjust these 2 things? Like why is everything lately Cowboy? I believe a lot of retired people have the same issue.
    Thank you in advance!

    1. Hi there! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment—and I totally hear you. I know that spicy and garlicky dishes aren’t for everyone, and I’ll absolutely keep that in mind when posting new recipes. I always want my content to feel helpful and accessible, especially for folks who are just starting to cook more later in life.

As for the “cowboy” recipes—believe it or not, it’s not about western boots or spurs! 😄 It’s just a fun name for bold, hearty, flavor-packed meals that people seem to really love. And honestly? The name helps me group similar recipes together so they’re easier to find on the website—and yes, so more people can discover them through search engines, too.

That said, you can always adjust spice levels in my recipes. Most of the heat comes from optional ingredients (like hot sauce or Cajun seasoning), and garlic can often be reduced or left out completely. I’ll try to include more notes about substitutions moving forward!

I appreciate you being here and taking the time to write. It truly means a lot. 💛

  2. I live alone and just get frozen food, I have not come across anyone else who’s recipes I have been interested in trying, until, yours, although, if I have to pay I can’t afford very much just willing to see if I can afford them Thank You 😊

  3. Hope you can help me to learn how to cook again. Have forgotten how as I have been working to much. Retired now.

  4. 99.8% of the time, I go to the source for information. That’s why I always go directly to your website for amazing recipes. I know they are delicious and well designed. Thank you for what you do, Amanda! I count on you for so many meals!

  5. I totally agree. Amanda deserves to receive credit for her work. I especially enjoy new and different twists on dishes. AI needs to be regulated before it really gets out of hand.

  6. I usually don’t do this but I have been cooking for over 60 years (which is my go activity) to make me happy. I have followed your recipes over the last few years and I found them fresh, easy to follow and consistently yummy. Keep it up.

  7. I don’t believe that AI can have the right to take your recipe to help us learn how to cook you have helped me more then I can say and I thank you for that very much because I don;t have money too buy books so I really thank you very much I have learned so much from you!!!!
