Air Fryer Carrots are a delicious way to prepare and enjoy carrots as a side dish, with added rosemary for an earthy, comforting complement to the vegetable. Serve these with a Bacon-Wrapped Turkey or this Crock Pot Honey Ham.
Air Fryer Carrots
Air Fried foods are becoming more popular because of the lower fat content compared to deep frying. And, a lot of times, it is quicker than cooking in an oven. If you love the taste of slow-roasted carrots, you are going to love this recipe, but in half the time of my Roasted Carrots recipe.
Air Fryer Carrots Ingredients
Carrots: We like to use large organic carrots or our own garden carrots if possible. They have so much flavor and don’t have as much of the other yucky stuff that comes from all of the pesticides.
Brown Sugar: We used light brown sugar for this recipe.
Olive Oil: We used extra-virgin olive oil.
How to Make Air Fryer Carrots
This side dish is a wonderful addition to your list of vegetable recipes. It’s so easy to put together and full of flavor. First, wash, peel, and slice the carrots. Combine the carrots, brown sugar, and olive oil. Toss to coat. Perfection is easy! The coated carrots are transferred to an air fryer basket and fried for 15 minutes at 350°F.
After 15 minutes, toss (shake) the carrots and season with rosemary, salt, and pepper. Air-fry for another 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
This recipe is a perfect side dish at any time of the year, but we especially love to pair them with our holiday meals. The sweetness of the carrots is a nice contrast to most holiday cooking like roast turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy.
What is the Best Air Fryer?
I have tested 3 brands in my home and I recommend the Ninja Air Fryer. (affiliate link) You can go up a size if needed, but it is superior in achieving consistent results and also ease of use. I’ve been very happy with this Air Fryer!
