This creamy Chicken Caesar Salad Dip is a blend of Caesar dressing, shredded rotisserie chicken, parmesan, and Romaine lettuce, topped with crushed croutons and crispy bacon. It gives you all the delicious flavors of a classic chicken Caesar salad but in a dippable form! I love it with crackers, crusty bread, or fresh vegetables. Ingredients & Substitutions
- Cream Cheese & Sour Cream: Before making this salad dip, let the cream cheese come to room temperature. It creates a thick, creamy base, along with sour cream, that helps the dip hold its shape and makes it dippable! You can use Greek yogurt or mayonnaise if you don’t have sour cream.
- Caesar Salad Dressing: We can’t have a Caesar salad or Caesar salad dip without Caesar dressing! I have a delicious, easy-to-make homemade dressing that would be perfect for this dip. Store-bought dressing would also work.
- Seasonings & Flavorings: These ingredients—lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt—add extra flavor to the dip. The lemon juice gives it a little tang, the Worcestershire sauce adds a rich, savory taste, and the garlic salt gives it a nice garlicky kick. Together, they make the dip taste even better!
- Chicken: I used rotisserie chicken in this dip since it’s already cooked, making the recipe even easier! Leftover shredded chicken or any cooked chicken works just as well. Season the chicken with black pepper to add more flavor to the dip.
- Lettuce: Romaine lettuce adds crunch, freshness, and color to balance the creamy dip. You can also use iceberg for crunch or baby spinach for a milder taste—just chop them finely to mix well!
- Parmesan Cheese: Parmesan cheese adds a nutty, savory flavor to the dip. It helps make the dip taste richer and gives it a little extra oomph! If you don’t have Parmesan, you can use grated Pecorino Romano (similar flavor, a bit sharper), grated Asiago, or shredded mozzarella.
- Croutons: If you make my homemade croutons, you may want to eat them all even before crushing them for the dip! Seriously, they are THAT good and a tried, tested, and perfected recipe. Of course, store-bought croutons work, too, but I encourage you to give the homemade ones a try!
- Bacon: I prefer thick-cut bacon so it doesn’t get lost in the other ingredients in the dip. Check out my instructions for how to bake bacon for perfectly crispy bacon every time with easy clean-up!
Can I Make Chicken Caesar Salad Dip Without Chicken?
Yes, you can make this dip without chicken! If you leave out the chicken, you could try adding extra vegetables like diced bell peppers, cucumbers, or even artichokes for added texture and flavor. You can also try adding chickpeas or tofu for a protein boost if desired. Just make sure to adjust the seasonings to suit your taste!
Can I Make Chicken Caesar Salad Dip Ahead Of Time?
Yes, you can definitely make this Chicken Caesar Salad Dip ahead of time! It’s a great make-ahead option. Just prepare the dip (all but the croutons and bacon), cover it tightly, and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, give it a quick stir. I like to top it with crushed croutons and bacon just before serving to keep them crispy!
What To Serve With Chicken Caesar Salad Dip: Perfect Pairings For Your Next Party
I am tempted to eat this dip by the forkful, but since it is a dip, here are my top choices for dipping:
- Buttery or whole-grain crackers
- Crusty bread like a French baguette
- Toasted baguette (Crostini)
- Fresh vegetables (I like carrot sticks, bell pepper slices, and cucumber slices.)
- Tortilla Chips
- Pita Chips
How To Store Chicken Caesar Salad Dip
To store Chicken Caesar Salad Dip, cover it tightly with plastic wrap or transfer it to an airtight container. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. When ready to serve, give it a good stir, as it may firm up a bit while chilling. Avoid leaving it out at room temperature for too long (no more than two hours) to keep it fresh! I do not recommend freezing this dip.
