Garlic Pork Bites
Garlic Pork Bites are hearty enough for the main course. Serve them with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans or asparagus for a complete and satisfying meal. Pork chops are cubed, seasoned with onion powder, salt, and pepper, and pan-seared. Then, the creamy garlic sauce is made. The pork is added to the sauce and is delicious just like that or over a plate of pasta.
Pork Bites Ingredients
Pork: I cubed 4 pork chops, which were about 2 pounds of pork. Then, I seasoned them with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Garlic Sauce: This is a thick sauce that is made with butter and heavy cream, flavored with garlic.
How to Cook the Pork
The first thing to do in this recipe (after cutting the pork into bite-sized pieces) is to season the pork. Season the pieces with onion powder, salt, and pepper. Then, heat oil in a large skillet. Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned pork to the skillet to sear on all sides until cooked through. The internal temperature of cooked pork is 145°F.
After you have cooked the pork, place it on a plate. Tent the pork with aluminum foil to keep it warm as you make the sauce.
How to Make Garlic Pork Bites
The garlic in this recipe comes in the sauce. To make the sauce, first, in the same skillet you cooked the pork, melt the butter. Next, add the garlic and cook for about a minute. Then, whisk in the flour, continuing to whisk until the mixture is slightly thickened.
Finally, add in the chicken broth, heavy cream, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 5-8 minutes. It will thicken as it simmers. Once thickened, add the pork bites to the sauce and toss to coat.

Not only is it delicious, but pork is also packed with protein and many vitamins and minerals, so it is obvious why it is so popular! One of my favorite cuts of pork is the pork chop. They can be fried or baked, thin or thick-cut, bone-in, or bone out.
I used boneless pork chops in this recipe. When choosing boneless pork chops, go for the thicker cut (about 1 1/2 inches thick). These are not as easy to overcook as thin-cut chops. Boneless pork chops are lean and have a mild flavor, but don’t worry, they will be full of flavor after being nestled in the garlic sauce!

Ingredients
Pork
- 4 boneless pork chops (approximately 2 pounds), cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Sauce
- ¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Season pork evenly with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a large, 12-inch skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add pork and sear for 3-5 minutes on all sides until cooked through (about 13-15 minutes total). Pork is cooked through when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Remove the pork from the skillet and set it on a plate. Tent it to keep the pork warm.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in flour until slightly thickened.
- Add in chicken broth, heavy cream, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer for 5-8 minutes, or until thickened.
- Add pork bites back to the pan and toss them in the sauce to coat. Serve immediately.

My sauce was a little brown, not as dark as shown in the picture, but I didn’t use my cast iron so that’s probably why. Simple and quick little recipe that packs a punch, will definitely be making again.
Terrific recipe for pork chops. Something totally different. Only thing I did different was to keep the pork in the pan the whole time. This enabled all the flavors to be infused into the pork. A definite keeper!

Added more garlic, cuz that’s how my guys roll. Didn’t have heavy cream, used cream cheese and milk. Followed the rest of the steps, lemon is a great touch. Served it over crispy, air fryer brussel sprouts. Thank you!
This was absolutely delicious! My young adult kids don’t like pork, but this recipe changed their minds. Everyone kept commenting on how much they loved this. The lemon juice really added to the flavor. I made extra so we’d have leftovers the next day, which tasted just as good!
My family whined about having pork again. 20 minutes later, it was all mopped up and they were circling the kitchen looking for third helpings. I found it unnecessary to add any more salt or pepper to the sauce at completion, there was enough after dredging the pork bites before browning. Delicious served with rice and sautéed mushrooms!
Making this tonight, excited to try. Will be using cast iron properly as to not dry out meat and get the lovely brown color, as well as all that flavor I see so many are missing out on. We eat lots of low carb so I am just wondering can the flour be substituted for corn starch or an almond flour for a keto/ lower carb version? Making over cauliflower mash.

Remember Corn Starch has an even higher carb count than Flour.

I used ground fermented black garlic (Trader Joe’s) and milk-free Cream Cheese plus 1/2 cup of water instead of cream. I also substituted milk free Parmesan. Simply delicious!
I made this the sauce .. ..
but there is no way that sauce is going to be brown.. as in the picture ! if you use butter garlic, heavy cream which is White … you’re starting with a White base ..chicken broth which is basically kind of clear . The cheese is white …. there is nothing in this that would make the sauce look brown unless you burn the butter .. it felt more like a fettuccine sauce than anything else ..
Did you start the sauce in the pan that you cooked the pork in? That is what makes it brown. All of the wonderful browned juices in the pan. If you didn’t do that, then yes, your sauce will be lighter. (And not as flavorful.)
I think the problem is that I use a nonstick skillet , instead of using my cast iron pans ..also I cooked my meat on a very low heat for a little longer, . I’m not a big pork eater ..so I like to make sure my meat is fully cooked (not dry ) where with a higher heat I would’ve gotten more brown on the bottom of my pan. With in return I would’ve got a darker gravy by using the scrapings on the bottom of my pan . It was a great recipe I really enjoyed the flavor of it
I literally came back to this to post/ask this same thing!! It taste great but very similar to Alfredo almost I think, and it’s definitely white! I also did the same thing using a nonstick skillet if I would’ve had it at a higher heat then would’ve seared process simply also drying the meat out after adding it back to the recipe next time I will have to try it a slightly different way but glad I’m not the only one because I thought I really screwed up and I know I followed every step of the recipe exactly lol

I modified the cooking technique so I could make this in the Instant Pot. Fantastic recipe! I’ll add a little more garlic next time, but this is a wonderful, flavorful recipe!
I used leftover pork loin. Perhaps because the pork was already cooked, I didn’t get a dark sauce. It looked like a white gravy, but it was still tasty. Served it with roasted carrots and mashe potatoes. I’d make it again. Next time I’ll try making it fresh pork.
